RLCS Winter Major 2026 Betting Preview — Teams, Odds & Picks

By James Thornton

Published:

The second global LAN of the 2025-26 RLCS season is here. The RLCS Winter Major 2026 runs February 19–22 with $300,000 on the line and 16 teams from across all six RLCS regions. After Team Falcons made history at the Fall Major in Riyadh, the storylines heading into this event are as compelling as any in recent RLCS memory.

The 2025-26 RLCS Season So Far

The 2025-26 RLCS season runs three Splits (Fall, Winter, Spring), each culminating in a Major. A World Championship follows in July 2026.

Fall Major 2025 Results (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia):

  • 🥇 Team Falcons ($120,000)
  • 🥈 G2 Esports ($60,000)
  • 🥉 Karmine Corp & Team BDS ($30,000 each)

The story of the Fall Major was Team Falcons — a MENA-region squad composed of French players (Seikoo, Antoin, Extra) — becoming the first MENA team to ever win an RLCS Major, defeating G2 Esports 4-2 in the Grand Final. It was one of the biggest moments in RLCS history.

Championship Points Standings (post-Fall Major):

  • Team Falcons (MENA): 1,500 pts
  • G2 Esports (NA): 1,250 pts
  • Karmine Corp (EU): 1,100 pts
  • Team BDS (EU): 900 pts
  • NRG (NA): 850 pts
  • FURIA Esports (SAM): 950 pts

Winter Split Form Heading In

North America — G2 on top again G2 Esports (jstn, GarrettG, Firstkiller) went 8-2 in NA Winter Split league play and won the NA Cup Final over NRG. They’ve recovered from the Fall Major final loss with dominant regional form. NRG (7-3) are close behind as the second-strongest NA team.

Europe — Karmine Corp near-perfect Karmine Corp (Vatira, Itachi, M0nkey_M00n) produced a stunning EU Winter Split with a 9-1 record, winning the EU Cup Final over Team BDS. They enter the Winter Major as the hottest team in Europe and arguably in the world right now. Team BDS (7-3) and Team Vitality (6-4) also qualified from EU.

MENA — Falcons defending Team Falcons qualified from their MENA Winter Split as top seed, looking to defend their Fall Major title.

Key Contenders

G2 Esports — Reigning World Champions

G2 (jstn, GarrettG, Firstkiller) are the reigning RLCS World Champions from the 2024-25 season. They’re the most accomplished active roster in Rocket League. Their NA Winter Split dominance (8-2, Cup Final winners) shows they’re fully motivated after the Fall Major final loss to Falcons.

The combination of jstn’s precise ball control, GarrettG’s reads, and Firstkiller’s aerial aggression is the most balanced trio in NA. G2 tend to improve through tournament brackets — they adapt better mid-series than almost any team.

Betting angle: G2 should be tournament favourites or joint-favourites. If priced around 2.50–3.00 decimal, they represent solid value as the team most likely to actually close out a tournament. Their record in Grand Finals under pressure is exceptional.

Karmine Corp — EU’s Finest

Karmine Corp (Vatira, Itachi, M0nkey_M00n) are the most in-form team in Europe and arguably globally. 9-1 in EU Winter Split is a near-perfect record. They were World Championship runners-up in 2024-25, losing to G2 in the Grand Final, and are hungry for the title.

Vatira is considered one of the best mechanical players in the world. The French trio’s chemistry is exceptional — they’ve played together through multiple RLCS seasons.

Betting angle: Karmine Corp at 3.00–4.00 decimal is compelling. They have the individual quality to beat any team and are the strongest European contender at this event. The EU vs NA Grand Final narrative (a rematch of the Worlds GF) would be the most-watched RLCS match in years.

Team Falcons — Defending Major Champions

Team Falcons (Seikoo, Antoin, Extra) stunned the world at the Fall Major. Three French players competing under the MENA banner, they play fast, aggressive Rocket League with excellent shot mechanics.

The question is whether the Fall Major was a peak performance or a signal of consistent elite-level capability. They’ve qualified from MENA Winter Split, so they clearly haven’t regressed — but going back-to-back at a Major is extremely difficult.

Betting angle: Team Falcons at 4.00–6.00 decimal depending on bookmaker. The “defending champion” boost often inflates their odds. Worth considering as part of an each-way type parlay rather than an outright pick.

NRG — Consistent NA Threat

NRG (7-3 in NA Winter Split) are the second-strongest NA team. They’ve been a consistent Major contender without ever quite breaking through. At +500 to +700 range (6.00–8.00 decimal), they represent lottery-ticket value in a deep field.

Team BDS — EU’s Dark Horse

Team BDS (7-3 EU Winter Split, runner-up to Karmine Corp) are one of the most consistently underrated teams in RLCS. They finished top-4 at the Fall Major and regularly push deep into Major brackets. At longer odds, worth noting for deep-run markets.

Historical Context

Regional dominance at RLCS Majors:

  • NA and EU teams have historically dominated, winning virtually all Majors and World Championships
  • Team Falcons’ Fall Major 2025 win was the first ever non-NA/EU Major victory
  • G2 Esports are the reigning World Champions (2024-25)
  • Karmine Corp won Worlds in 2023-24

The pattern suggests the Grand Final is most likely between G2 and Karmine Corp — but Team Falcons have now proven that can be disrupted.

Format

The Winter Major uses a standard RLCS Major structure:

  • Group Stage: 4 groups of 4 teams, round-robin best-of-3, top 2 advance
  • Playoffs: 8-team double-elimination bracket, best-of-5 through bracket, best-of-7 Grand Final

Betting Markets

Tournament Winner Outright The most popular market. G2, Karmine Corp, and Team Falcons are the main options.

Group Stage Winner / Group Advancement Groups aren’t announced until closer to the event, but backing G2 and Karmine Corp to top their groups is generally a solid baseline bet.

Series Handicap In a G2 vs NRG matchup, G2 at -1.5 maps (needs to win 3-1 or 3-0 in a bo5) often offers better value than a straight match winner.

Tournament Top 4 Finish A safer market if you want to back a team without committing to them winning it all. G2, Karmine Corp, Falcons, and BDS all seem likely top-4 candidates.

Our Pick

G2 Esports to win the Winter Major. They’re the most complete team in the field, are red-hot from their NA split performance, and have the tournament pedigree to close out a Grand Final. The Fall Major loss looks like a blip — motivated G2 are the team to beat.

Value pick: Karmine Corp. If they’re priced at 3.50 or longer, their current form and individual quality make them worth backing. A Karmine Corp vs G2 Grand Final is the most likely scenario, and at those odds, the EU team could easily be the side lifting the trophy.
